Photography Farm 09-11 July
Photography Farm is a unique residential workshop held over two and a half days on a stunning 12 acre farm near Gatwick. We set up beautifully styled shoots, show you post production and workflow techniques, cover business, branding & marketing all in elegant but relaxed surroundings. You will each have your own room at the Farm and we have an excellent chef and house keeper. The emphasis is on you and what you need. Our aim is to really get to know you and your business, then work on the the areas that you need help with the most. This is why we only offer a limited number of places.
On 9th ~ 11th of July we are hosting our next Workshop ~ Business Boost for Wedding Photographers with photographer Lisa Devlin and specialist graphic designer for photographers Melissa Love. This workshop is perfect if you are either just starting out or have got a bit stuck. You might have launched your business and don’t understand why it is not flying high, you may have had some time off and come back to a much changed market or you simply don’t know where to begin.
Day One ~ After being shown to your room, we start with informal introductions and look at how we all currently shoot and find inspiration. Lisa will show you techniques that really work for her when it comes to photographing couples on or away from the wedding day. After lunch we go out to a beautifully styled shoot with a real couple in the Farm’s grounds so Lisa can show you the techniques in action. You will then have some time to work in pairs to directing and shooting the couple in this inspirational environment.
Day Two ~ Starts with post production and looking at our images from the first day. Lisa will show you how she processes images and uses Photoshop. There is time for you to upload some of your own images to have a play with them. We will then have a guest talk by Melissa, giving some insights on how great design can boost your business. She will be discussing branding, showing you steps you can use to create an engaging one and how to carry it across all that you do. We also have a talk on marketing techniques and look at how to progress our businesses. Finishing up with Melissa’s take on The Art of Blogging which will cover structure, organisation, social media integration and list building. After Business School we will have a celebration dinner with a chance to dress up and mingle. When you are not busy with all of this, you are free to take a dip in the heated pool or kick back in the hot tub.
Day Three ~ In the morning you will have one-to-one sessions with Lisa, then Melissa before leaving armed with an action plan and goody bags full of industry swag.
By shooting, learning and living together in this intensely creative place, Photography Farm is an incredible experience. Even when you leave, the support continues in a very active private Facebook group.

I utterly adore this new concept of the photography farm, after following your delightful progress for so many years now I so want to come and join in. I am now in my last lap of my HND Photography at Solihull college, but the business practice side of it is such a battle, (and struggle with how to deal/pose real couples). Not knowing how to advance myself, or get myself out there properly would be a grand benefit to help me take steps forward in finally starting my own photography thing…
I will be un-able to attend the March wkshops, as will be in Paris for a wee break, snapping. Is there plans for another workshop/s during the summer? As I would love to attend.
